I think that the names new age and undiscovered will represent the brand idea the best as they instantly are associated with new and fresh ideas

2. Which names give the best design accessibility i.e. designs that associate with the name.

. New Age

Tokyo and culture will definitely open opportunity for designing for example "Tokyo" would allow me to use a semi see through red circle which looks really cool. 

3. Do you think my magazine should include exclusively new bands, or new music in general by any band (within the genre)?

I think the magazine should cover both aspects as there is a gap in the market for both of them.

4, What should my picture to text ratio be on a normal double page spread?

The text to picture ration should be that 65% of the page is covered by design and images and the other 35% should be text fitted around the images.

5. Should text be laid  out unconventionally or in columns?

in my opinion text should be laid out in columns as the rest of the magazine needs to be different to stand out, but the text should stay the same as in other magazines as that is the way it is most easily read.
